At ITME, students are taught B.Tech in Information Technology
at per with WBUT syllabus and curriculum mostly by inhouse
faculties maintained according to AICTE norms. other than
technical skill development, students are also prepared through
presentations and seminars in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of
their curriculum. Special care is taken to expose students
of final year to near real life project through application
system design and development in the Computer

Labs using state of the art
technology like Dot NET and Java. Students are also given
the opportunity to make themselves industry ready through
special courses offered outside class hours by the Institute
faculties with the course materilal and guidelines provided
by the industry leader - Infosys.
It is estimated that for every direct job
created in the IT industry, a minimum of ten IT related jobs
have been created in other industries in which IT is applied.
The fastest growing sectors of the global service economy-
education, financial services, insurance and health services-
have all expanded by adapting IT technologies. IT has demonstratable
benefits for employment and skill levels.
At ITME, the students are exposed to industry standard system
building tools right at the outset. They are inducted into
the study of Information Technology through a symbiosis of
a wide spectrum of application knoowledge, the grammer of
statistics about raw data collating, usage of complex computers
and communication essentials |
Prospects
According to a NASSCOM - McKinsey report,
annual revenue projections for India's IT industry in 2008
are US $ 87 billion and market openings are emerging across
four broad sectors, IT services, software products, IT enabled
services, and e-businesses thus creating a number of opportunities
for Indian companies.In addition to the export market, all
of these segments have a domestic market component as well.
