It is the statutory body of Government of India established for proper planning & co-ordinated development of technical education system throughout the Country. It has been mandated for formulation and maintenance of norms and standards, quality assurance through accreditation, funding in priority areas, monitoring and evaluation, maintaining parity of certification and awards.
